Where Have I Been??
Good question.
I think the writing part of my soul took a vacation and left me with a stack of books to read and a ton of Bollywood films to watch, but I'm all read out and all Bollywood movie-d out and the ideas are flowing faster than my fingers. I can't write fast enough or on enough projects. I want to finish them all- right now! I've spent some time looking at stagnant tales and have fresh ideas for them. The new screenplay is moving quickly. I registered for a writing conference. I've been researching some markets. I made a pitch for the new screenplay to a director (here on Xanga, of all things). Another Xangan I trust completely had suggested it and it took me a while to decide that he was right.
So... here I am... in the same place I've been since 2004, but it feels different... very different.

Sounds like good things are coming your way!!!

So perhaps it's not the same place after all. Perhaps it's a different place... a very different place. Best of luck with all your projects.

Sometimes one creates a dynamic impression by saying something, and sometimes one creates as significant an impression by remaining silent.

I'm so glad to hear from you - wishing you well in every endeavor!
Often a complete break brings us back renewed and full of ideas and energy. Good for you.
Glad your writing is back on track. It's sucks when it's not.
@TroyEllison - thanks! i don't know if anything will come from them, but i have the need to keep trying, keep pushing, keep working... wish i knew where that urge came from, bc i'd like to turn it off sometimes! :)
@piqued - being in a serious writing slump is always scary- it always feels like it will last forever! so the relief when it ends is tremendous!
@doahsdeer - i know it can't be the same, bc i'm different! :) but it's funny how same it feels!
@jacksoncroons - thanks!
@mildlyobsessed - still laughing! thanks!
@malikimran - silence is fatal for a writer. one must be able to hear the voice inside in order to write- or at least that's true for me and when i can't hear it- it's scary. i rarely hit such serious writer's blocks, but when they happen, they become totally absorbing- which is why i try to treat it with more movies and music- in hopes i can jog it free!
@suzyQ_darnit - thanks! missed you too!
@AprilsPlace - i agree- it's part of the taking in process, but it's still hard to keep it all in balance when it happens!
@lexacolton - absolutely! and sooo frustrating too!
